O2's data speeds 3 times faster in Leicester | |
| Independent testing by SIRODA compared the data speeds of all five UK operators. They showed that O2 offered the fastest web page download rate in 12 out of 13 cities. On average, web page access on the O2 network was delivered in 1.4 seconds, over three times quicker than the slowest operator. The 12 cities are: Birmingham, Bradford, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham and Sheffield. O2's Investment in Leicestershire:
O2 confirms it plans to spend £25 million improving its Leicestershire network this year. The company said this was a 25 per cent increase on how much it spent last year. Leicester saw the biggest rise in the amount of data used on the O2 mobile network last year. It increased 7 fold on the previous year! |
