Princes Trust Charity Ball

On Saturday 12th November, Welcomm staff attended The 7 in 7 Charity Ball at the Northampton Saints ground to raise funds to support the Princes Trust.

Welcomm donated a signed England O2 rugby shirt which generated a fantastic £1,100, which went towards the huge total of £20,00 raised on the night.

The evening was compered by ex-England and Manchester United star Dion Dublin, who helped to launch to the massive fundraising effort. 

Welcomm were there to support Igloo Book's '7 in 7 Challenge', which is being undertaken by 4 Igloo colleagues in April 2012. Over 7 consecutive days the (very) amateur runners will attempt to complete 7 marathons in 7 European countries, then for good measure, 7 Igloo employees will complete the final marathon together at the London Marathon on April 22nd 2012.

All money raised goes to the The Prince's Trust which helps change young lives. Around one in five young people in the UK are not in work, education or training. Youth unemployment costs the UK economy £10 million a day in lost productivity, while youth crime costs £1 billion every year. The Prince's Trust offer practical and financial support to the young people who need it most, by providing them with the key skills, confidence and motivation they need to enable them to move into work, education or training.
