The Brief

When Welcomm first met with Roythornes they had a mobile contract that consisted of 40 mobile users, some of which required data services for their Windows XDA handsets. Although Roythornes were happy with the network coverage they were receiving, they weren’t able to get the level of customer service they required from the network direct. Roythornes were looking for a dealer that could offer them a more personal customer service, where they could be confident of a prompt response to their enquiries and requests.

A further stipulation of Roythornes’ was to move over to Blackberry handsets, as Blackberry is seen as an industry standard for solicitors. As well as offering a secure, reliable access to emails and company documents, the Blackberry Enterprise Server could also be used to set additional controls across all company Blackberry handsets to set restrictions on specific internet use and ring tones etc.

The Solution

After analysing Roythornes business requirements Welcomm were able to recommend a mobile and data solution that not only offered them value for money based on their current call time and email/internet usage but also the secure encrypted email service for their new Blackberry handsets. Welcomm ensured they had the relevant personnel available to work with Roythornes’ IT department to help and support during the set up of the new BES Blackberry Server, ensuring any problems were dealt with prior to the service being rolled out to it’s staff. In addition to this Welcomm worked closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure she had the necessary training and knowledge to make changes to existing handsets and deploy new Blackberry handsets without having to rely on the IT department.

Welcomm went beyond the standard levels of customer service, providing a proactive personal relationship including onsite training to all the new Blackberry users to ensure they were able to work more efficiently and get the best out of their handsets. After the success of the BES server rollout Roythornes have gone on to increase the number of Blackberry handsets on their contract.
